Research of prospective employees’ preferences for a multinational insurance group


Client’s needs:

The client wished to better understand the type of demands current and future employees have on their employers, and the driving forces and values behind the career choices of the new generation. Universum provided consulting services to the client on how they should adapt to this new set of rules to attract and retain talented people.

Method:

Universum conducted in-depth telephone interviews with graduates and senior technology professionals in Denmark and the UK, two key markets for the client.
In collaboration with the client, Universum developed a questionnaire with both open-ended and closed-ended questions which allowed a quantitative as well as a qualitative interpretation of the data.

Solution:

A set of key values for the respective target groups were identified. This supported and verified other external and internal research which was independently conducted by the client. Research results were used to convince the management group to go ahead with a program for re-shaping the recruiting strategies inline with the preferences of the next generation.
